A Captain Bob's rental should not be treated as a way to approach the Shootout race course or enter restricted areas. Follow current event instructions, posted restrictions and law-enforcement direction while you're on the water.

Our boat rentals include life jackets and required safety equipment. Before you leave the dock, we'll also walk you through the boat and help you get familiar with it.

Yes. We rent boats during Shootout Week, subject to availability. Because the Shootout can bring additional boating activity to the Lake, planning ahead gives you more time to choose a rental that fits your trip.
Where Is Captain Bob's Located in Relation to the Shootout?
We're located in Osage Beach directly across from Dog Days, the location of Shootout Race Headquarters.
Our location also serves visitors staying throughout the Lake area, including Lake Ozark, Bagnell and Village of Four Seasons.
Can I Take a Captain Bob's Rental Boat to the Shootout Race Course?
Our rentals should not be used to approach the Shootout race course or enter restricted areas. Follow current event instructions, posted restrictions and law-enforcement direction while you're on the water.
Should I Reserve My Boat Before Shootout Week?
Yes, reserving ahead is recommended if your boating date is an important part of your trip. Same-day and last-minute rentals may be available, but availability should not be assumed during a major August event.
Can We Add Watersports to Our Shootout Week Boat Rental?
Yes. Tubes, water skis, wakeboards, kneeboards and Maui mats are available as rental add-ons. Ask about availability when booking.
What Is the Weather Usually Like During Lake of the Ozarks Shootout Weekend?
The Shootout race weekend takes place in late August. Summer heat, sun exposure and changing weather should all be considered when planning time on the water.
Check the local forecast close to your rental, bring sun protection and plenty of water, and continue paying attention to conditions once you're on the Lake. Your plans may need to change if weather or lake conditions shift.
